So many political romantics of the Left search heaven and earth to find a 'clean' absolutely innocent victim-group or virtuous cause crushed under the jackboot of a 100% 'evil' State, but history doesn't provide more than a handful of such scenarios, and Jesus before Pilate shows that even he planned his confrontation with the authorities. The children of tomorrow need to grow up. A class-analysis which actually studies the material forces conditioning the 'freewill' of actors is a great pedagogical corrective to wayward passionate quests for identification with idealist virtue.
