Waiting on the revolution ?
What are the political positions and activities of those 'waiting' for revolution and socialism? Some ppl preach that the world is "evolving toward socialism". It is true that productive relations have changed and are changing, and with those changes in work society changes in consequence....
- But doesn't the idea that we are 'evolving' to socialism encourage the lazy and deluded idea that we can follow the current of History and put our feet up ?
- And isn't social regression and all its evil moral harms evolving as well -- with the debasement of workers' livelihoods increasingly attacked by Monopoly Capital's clawbacks?
- Isn't it necessary to struggle for socialism given the neoliberal austerity and ecological suicidal endgame of the present System?
- And isn't it the comfortable and privileged people who want us to say "There is No Alternative" to the world as it is?
-Or they say "I'm a Democrat/ NDPr/Liberal" and "there are different theories"...
-Or they say "On this hand" and after a paragraph add "and yet on the OTHER hand"...
- Only the brave and afflicted working people (AND those who go over to their side) feel the urgent NEED for the new society because they daily daily feel the dying in the present society.

I became a Communist party member because I was tired - so tired of 'waiting around' as an independent Leftist. I joined to struggle within a Party of Socialism that is organising NOW for revolutionary transformation.
Its a difficult stance and life -- but its worth it. What is this very brief life without a struggle for another world fit for human beings?
