With the onset of the economic meltdown of 2008 we have entered a new era in history. Capitalist globalization and its corollary assault on the gains of the workers in the ‘advanced democracies’ is fusing with an accelerating U.S-NATO military aggression and together these factors are causing new class and social contradictions that can prepare the basis for a renewal of the socialist and labour movement in Canada and around the world.
