Boris Kagarlitsky writes from a class-perspective in the midst of Russia's national euphoria about Crimea:

"Regularly repeated appeals to the " national interest " and the challenges of the community can bring people to a completely "wrong" thinking. After all, those who see Russia from within, sooner or later have to ask themselves , what unity is possible with people consistently destroying the remnants of the very Soviet guaranteed social rights, those guarantees they make us forget when crying about the end of the bipolar system ?  How can we talk about solidarity with those who in recent decades diligently cultivated Property, - legal and social inequality , declaring these to be almost a fundamental principle of the Russian psyche ?"
