A 7-member delegation composed of a number of US anti-war organizations, labor activists, lawyers, educators and independent journalists visited Syria for a 6-day fact finding trip in July 2016. The met with a wide ranging number of civil society organizations, students, business leaders, victims of war and violence, mebers of the Syrian bar association, women's rights activists, parliamentarians from different political parties and high level officials. The delegation was also granted a nearly 2-hour meeting with President Bashar Al-Assad. This is a report from 2 of the members of the delegation.
