Statement of the Syrian Communist Party

On the morning of April 7, 2017, US forces from their ships in the eastern Mediterranean fired a massive missile strike at a Syrian military post.

This attack is a new step from the American imperialist aggression against our homeland Syria, which was preceded by the landing of American military units in the north-east of our country without any accepted justification in international law. This aggression is an embodiment of the general approach adopted by American imperialism in the attack on the sovereignty of states and the freedom of peoples, in order to achieve the permanent expansionist means, which is a form of imperialism.

This aggressive step comes in the context of imperialist and Zionist policy aimed at the depletion and division of Syria, which is a steadfast fortress in the face of total colonial domination over the Eastern Mediterranean and the Arab world in general.

The blatant American aggression against Syria dispels all illusions about the possibility of neutralizing America. American imperialism is the basic enemy of the freedom of peoples, including our Syrian people. America is the largest international terrorist in the world.

The Syrian Communist Party calls upon the masses of our proud people to close ranks more and more in the face of the imperialist aggression and to provide all support to our brave national army in its fierce battle against the aggressors and their accomplices from terrorist gangs.

The Syrian Communist Party goes to the world progressive public opinion, to all the progressive and democratic forces, to the free world, in a call to denounce the American imperialist aggression on Syria and increase their solidarity with the Syrian national steadfastness that contributes effectively to the struggle of global liberation forces against imperialism and imperialism.

Long live the Syrian national steadfastness!

بيان من الحزب الشيوعي السوري

في صبيحة يوم السابع من نيسان 2017 وجهت القوات الأميركية من سفنها المتواجدة في شرقي البحر المتوسط ضربة صاروخية مكثفة إلى موقع عسكري سوري.

إن هذا الاعتداء هو خطوة جديدة من العدوان الإمبريالي الأميركي على وطننا سوريا، والذي سبقه إنزال وحدات عسكرية أميركية في الشمال الشرقي لبلادنا، دون أي مسوغ متعارف عليه في القانون الدولي. إن هذا العدوان هو تجسيد للنهج العام الذي تتبعه الإمبريالية الأميركية في الاعتداء على سيادة الدول وحرية الشعوب، تحقيقاً للمآرب التوسعية الدائمة والتي هي صفة مكونة للإمبريالية.

وتأتي هذه الخطوة العدوانية في سياق السياسة الإمبريالية والصهيونية الرامية إلى استنزاف وتقسيم سوريا، التي تشكل قلعة صامدة في وجه مشاريع الهيمنة الاستعمارية الكاملة على منطقة شرق المتوسط وعلى دنيا العرب بشكل عام.

إن العدوان الأميركي السافر على سوريا يبدد كل الأوهام حول إمكانية تحييد أميركا، فالإمبريالية الأميركية هي العدو الأساسي لحرية الشعوب، بما فيها شعبنا السوري. فأميركا هي أكبر إرهابي دولي في العالم.

يدعو الحزب الشيوعي السوري جماهير شعبنا الأبية إلى رص الصفوف أكثر وأكثر في مواجهة العدوان الإمبريالي وتقديم كل الدعم لجيشنا الوطني الباسل في معركته الضارية ضد المعتدين وأعوانهم من العصابات الإرهابية.

ويتوجه الحزب الشيوعي السوري إلى الرأي العام التقدمي العالمي، إلى جميع القوى التقدمية والديمقراطية، إلى أحرار العالم، بنداء من أجل شجب العدوان الإمبريالي الأميركي على سوريا وزيادة تضامنهم مع الصمود الوطني السوري الذي يسهم بشكل فعال في نضال قوى التحرر العالمي ضد التسلط والعدوانية الإمبريالية.

عاش الصمود الوطني السوري!

سوريا لن تركع!
