A comment on a thought of Che Guevara's by Andrew Taylor, Sep 17

Che Guevara said: “Economic socialism without a communist morale does not interest me.
We are fighting poverty, but at the same time alienation….If communism is dissociated from consciousness, it may be a method of distribution but it is no longer a revolutionary morality.”

Socialism without formed, socialist minded citizens is not an infectious joyful movement of sacrifice and solidarity. This is not intended as a moralistic command for besieged people to grin and dance, but as a reflection for each socialist to internalize.
